Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. Overview
Contraction Timer — 5-1-1 Rule ("the app") is an independent app designed to help track contraction patterns during labor. We take your privacy seriously, especially given the sensitive nature of pregnancy health data.
2. Data We Collect
We collect nothing.
All contraction data you record is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. It is never transmitted to any server, never uploaded to the cloud, and never shared with any third party.
Specifically, the app does not collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Health or medical data of any kind
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
3. Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
The optional Birth Pass premium purchase is processed by Google Play's payment infrastructure. Google's own privacy policy governs that transaction. The app itself receives no personal or financial data from the purchase.
4. Data Storage & Deletion
All data lives solely on your device. To permanently delete all app data, simply uninstall the app from your device. There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.
5. Children's Privacy
This app is intended for use by adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
6. Medical Disclaimer
Contraction Timer — 5-1-1 Rule is a pattern tracking tool for informational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Every labor is different. Always follow the specific clinical instructions of your doctor or midwife.
If your water breaks, you experience heavy bleeding, or you feel something is wrong — contact your provider or emergency services immediately, regardless of what the app displays.
7. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
